Agreement for Use

You agree that the reservation services of this Site shall be used only to make legitimate reservations or purchases for you or for another person for whom you are legally authorized to act. You understand that overuse or abuse of the reservation services of this Site may result in your being denied access to such services. For any reservations or other services for which fees may be charged, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of purchase imposed, including, but not limited to, payment of all amounts when due and compliance with all rules and restrictions regarding availability of rates, products, and services. You shall be completely responsible for all charges, fees, duties, taxes, and assessments arising out of the use of this Site.

 

If you have been provided with a login and password, then any such login and password are for your personal use only. You may not reveal your login or password to anyone else or permit anyone else to use your login and password to access this Site. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your login and password, and you accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You must notify Highlander Inn staff immediately if the security of your login or password has been breached.

Highlander Inn reserves the right to change the terms, conditions, and notices under which the Content and this Site are offered at any time. We may revise these Terms of Use at any time by amending this page. You are expected to check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we made, as they are binding on you. Some of the provisions contained in these Terms of Use may also be superseded by provisions or notices published elsewhere on this Site.

Policies

 

Our hotel policy provides all of the information you will need when planning a stay with us as well as our privacy policy which details our commitment to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the personal information of our guests. Check-in is any time after 3:00 pm. Each guest must check-in at the Front Desk, sign the credit card authorization form or cash deposit for any future incidental charges, and complete the required registration form, if asked by front desk clerk. Check out time is 11:00 am and for fast check out, guests can leave keycards in their room, making sure the guest room door is locked when they leave.

 

Guest Conduct

 

  • Guests are asked not to gather in the hallways as this often creates excessive noise which disturbs other guests.

  • Keep guest room doors closed at all times to avoid noise disturbances.

  • Each room is limited to the number of guests registered in the room at the time of check in.

  • Preparation of food in guest rooms by any type of cooking appliances, barbeques, or burners is strictly prohibited.

  • If housekeeping finds any rooms damaged, in any way, the hotel will charge the credit card responsible for the room for all damages and/or cleanup fees.

  • All early departures will be charged the full room rate for all night’s reserved.

  • Persons caught throwing items down stairwells or off the balconies or windows will be evicted.

  • Pets are not permitted on hotel property.

  • Items in rooms are inventoried during check-out. Any missing or damaged items will be charged to the card on file or taken from the cash deposit. All rooms (even those rented for extended periods of time upon check-out must be in as close to original condition as possible.

 

Video Surveillance

 

For the safety of our guests, as well as safeguarding our property, Highlander Inn uses 24-hour video surveillance in all exterior areas of the motel.

 

House Rules

Zero Tolerance Policy: Service and Accommodations will be refused to or revoked from any person who:

  • Acts in an obviously intoxicated or disorderly manner while on motel property.

  • Shows any signs of possible drug activity, such as cars coming and going to a particular room and leaving shortly thereafter, excessive or unusual foot traffic to a particular room, or any other activity (especially in the middle of the night) deemed suspicious in nature in managements opinion. In some cases, the police may be called to inquire and/or investigate.

  • Negligently or intentionally causes damage to the motel, furniture or furnishings within the motel, and shall be liable for any and all damaged sustained by the innkeeper, including the motels loss of revenue resulting from the inability to rent or lease rooms while said damage is being repaired.

  • If a complaint occurs due to the negligence of those occupying a guest room, disorderly conduct, unlawful activities, or repeated noise complaints, the offending guests may be evicted and/or receive additional charges to their account. If a guest is evicted, they are not entitled to any refund. If damages occur to the guest room or other areas of the hotel, the cost of the damage will be charged to the credit card registered upon check-in.

 

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: (a) copy, display, modify, reproduce, or otherwise transfer any Content to any third party without the prior written permission of Highlander Inn; (b) interfere or disrupt networks connected to this Site; (c) use or attempt to use any device, software, or routine which interferes with the proper functioning of this Site or any transactions being offered through this Site; (d) transmit files, data, or other Content containing a computer virus, corrupted data, worms, "Trojan horses" or other instructions or design that would erase data or programming or cause this Site or any equipment or system to become inoperable or incapable of being used in the full manner for which it was designed; (e) deliver any communication to or through this Site which violates any local, state, provincial, federal, international, or other law; (f) deliver any communication to or through this Site that contains defamatory, libelous, abusive, or obscene material; or (g) deliver any communication to or through this Site that will infringe upon the rights of any third party.

Governing Law

Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use or relating to the use of this Site or the Content contained in this Site shall by governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States of America, exclusive of the choice of law rules thereof, and shall be resolved in a state or federal court in Ohio.
